Three Events

1. The most known even is the death of Michael Jackson. He died on June 25th, 2009. He was known as the King of Pop. Mourning hits the nation.

2. Tiger Woods is found to be cheating on his wife. This causes strain in their family life as they decide to split.

3. Obama reveals plans on the evacuation of soldiers in Iraq in the near future. This means that the soldiers can finally come home to the land of the free and rest.

    I agree, Michael Jackson's death was huge and struck the whole world in shock. I don't know about in America, but in France, they were heartbroken. All the magazines had pictures of MJ in them, and all the shops and restaurant play non stop Michael Jackson songs.

    I also agree that Michael Jackson's death was a most known event in 2009. Everyone knew about Tiger Woods because it was all over the media. There was also a huge controversy over Obama taking our soldiers out of Iraq.
